We started teaching sewing classes beginning with our Introduction to Sewing course. It is a 2 1/2 hour class designed for those who have never touched a sewing machine or for those who learned to sew but would like to build their sewing confidence. Participants are guided step-by-step through the anatomy of the sewing machine, Controlling the machine with speed and steering, Threading the machine and troubleshooting minor machine issues, Learning the language of a sewist with basic sewing and fabric terms and Sewing basic seams on paper and then on fabric. All participants completed a project that they took home with them. For our first class, we created a draw string bag. All supplies needed for this course are supplied and included with registration.
