The Studio at Seauxing Seeds Foundation in Downtown Covington, Louisiana has added new sewing classes for all levels. We offer sewing classes for children and teens starting at age 9 through adult. Our Introduction to Sewing, Beginner Sewing I and Beginner Sewing II classes will help get you started in the art and refine your skills into an accomplished sewist. The beginner level sewing classes are taught by our certified teacher, Kathy Scioneaux. In addition, we have created a sewing community by offering Project Seaux sessions each month to gather with friends or meet new ones and complete a project for yourself or to gift. Our group of volunteers meet throughout the month to sew items for donation to our Community Partners, other Non-Profit organizations in St. Tammany and neighboring Parishes.
Our Quilting classes have begun and continue to grow! We offer a beginner class to get you started, covering all the tips, tricks and techniques to create a variety of blocks. You can continue refining your skills by taking a class just to learn how to complete creative blocks and piecing for your first quilt. Our Quilters Quest Program is a sewing class that will have you working on unique and imaginative projects using your quilting skills!
