Free Motion Quilting Services and Quilting Classes offered at Seauxing Seeds


Our NEW Janome QMP 20 Long Arm Quilting Machine, Mary, has been a busy girl teaching quilting classes and with quilting services. Students how to quilt their tops with Free Motion techniques at the Studio. To schedule a quilting class or quilting services or for more information, contact the studio (985) 234-9182. Once you have completed a two-hour training, you can schedule long arm hourly rental time to quilt all those projects you've been working on!


Seauxing Seeds Holds its FIRST EVER Men's Sewing Class!!


That should not surprise us. This group of four local businessmen incorporated their skills of business, mechanics and critical thinking to totally embrace the Art of Sewing! Not only did they learn how to operate a sewing machine, they walked away with hand-sewn Mardi Gras Wine Bags, great memories and successful team bonding. All four gentlemen said they look forward to advancing their sewing skills in the future with sewing classes at Seauxing Seeds Foundation! Sewing Classes, Volunteer Opportunities and Community Partnerships await at Seauxing Seeds


Seauxing Seeds offers Beginner Alterations Classes!  Learn the basics to get started with hems. Click on the Classes/Studio Events Tab to register or visit our Calendar Tab for upcoming class dates and times. 


Our Seaux-it-forward Program bring volunteers to our studio throughout each month to sew items for donation to our community partners and special events. Donations in our first year of operation went to The Northlake Crisis Pregnancy Center, Women's Life Ministries, Northshore Enduring Hope and Basket of Hope. We welcome anyone with all levels of experience to join us during our Open Seaux sessions to participate with these community projects or to sew your own project. We have many project kits available for purchase in our SeauxMart Store. Please check our website for information on upcoming sessions, classes and events.

On one designated day each month we offer our FabGrab Sale.  This is where we offer new and gently used sewing items and fabrics for sale. Fabric by the pound, machines, and notions - all in great condition and at amazing prices. We also have a number of FREE items! Check the calendar tab to see upcoming dates for FabGrab Sales!


If you know someone wanting to donate fabric or sewing-related items, please contact the studio. We will gladly schedule a pick-up of these items! We are not accepting crafting items at this time, but have community partners who may be interested. Contact the studio for information: (985) 234-9182.


We are currently seeking donations to fund scholarships to allow for enrollment of students who are not able to afford class tuition. It is our goal that we will eventually operate without having to turn a single student away for reasons of financial need. Your generous support will allow this to take place! The Donate button on this website will also allow for donations to be made in honor of someone you love! 


We are always seeking volunteers at our studio! We welcome volunteers of all ability levels to help with sorting, measuring, ironing and cutting donated fabric and cutting fabric for quilting and other class projects. We are also in need of class assistants for our instruction classes. In addition, service hours are given for our high school student volunteers. 

Seauxing Seeds also partners with other local non-profit organizations to share the art of sewing with hand sewn items such as baby bibs, burp cloths, blankets, lap and baby quilts, pocket prayer quilts, dog beds and more!
