DONATIONS NEEDED!

Seauxing Seeds Foundation operates SOLELY ON DONATIONS to help us keep “Seauxing On”!

Fabric and notion donations are merchandised for sale in our “Seaux Mart “store, while monetary donations directly help toward our operating expenses. In addition to cash donations, we also accept gift cards (Walmart, The Home Depot, Amazon, Joann’s, and Hobby Lobby).

While we value all donations, please understand that our resources are limited to the number of volunteers who assist in processing the items received. Therefore, we can only accept FABRICS as follows:

  • Fabrics that are NOT soiled, stained, or contain pet hair (including fabric scraps that are donated as dog bed fill).

  • Fabrics that are NOT clothing (including t-shirts) due to the physical effort necessary to process these.

Due to our limited storage space, we will gladly consider other types of donations, such as machines or items not directly related to sewing, on an individual basis.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Seauxing Seeds Foundation!

Our Seaux-it-forward Program bring volunteers to our studio throughout each month to sew items for donation to our community partners and special events. Donations in our first year of operation went to The Northlake Crisis Pregnancy Center, Women's Life Ministries, Northshore Enduring Hope and Basket of Hope. We welcome anyone with all levels of experience to join us during our Open Seaux sessions to participate with these community projects or to sew your own project. We have many project kits available for purchase in our SeauxMart Store. Please check our website for information on upcoming sessions, classes and events.

The Studio is available for private lessons or group events. Go to the Calendar of Events tab on our Website or visit us on Facebook: seauxingseedsfoundation for more information or call the studio to register: (985) 234-9182.

On one designated day each month we offer our FabGrab Sale.  This is where we offer new and gently used sewing items and fabrics for sale. Fabric by the pound, machines, and notions - all in great condition and at amazing prices. We also have a number of FREE items! Check the calendar tab to see upcoming dates for FabGrab Sales!

If you know someone wanting to donate fabric or sewing-related items, please contact the studio. We will gladly schedule a pick-up of these items! We are not accepting crafting items at this time, but have community partners who may be interested. Contact the studio for information: (985) 234-9182.

We are currently seeking donations to fund scholarships to allow for enrollment of students who are not able to afford class tuition. It is our goal that we will eventually operate without having to turn a single student away for reasons of financial need. Your generous support will allow this to take place! The Donate button on this website will also allow for donations to be made in honor of someone you love!

We are always seeking volunteers at our studio! We welcome volunteers of all ability levels to help with sorting, measuring, ironing and cutting donated fabric and cutting fabric for quilting and other class projects. We are also in need of class assistants for our instruction classes. In addition, service hours are given for our high school student volunteers.

Individual or corporate donations are sought for the following:

  • Monetary donations to purchase equipment and supplies, fund course scholarships, and assist with operating expenses.

  • Volunteers to assist with instruction, sewing, cutting, ironing or to help organize donations
